  • Today is the 3rd day in a row that when I start off, I am behind even though I don't seem to be doing anything really wrong. Downswing hurts, but you just have to be honest to yourself and that there is not really any play that is bad enough to let you lose 50BB in 100 hand or less.

Fortunately for me, except for the first day (which I ended up down big) this is the second day that I have recovered and made a smallish profit. I am glad that I am able to maintain my level of play, but obviously the cards aren't too brutal as well. But it's tough to start your day and the first hour you always fall behind.

Again, this is a hand that bugs me. Villian had 7 outs, so this is not really egregious, but somehow it is human nature to hurt a lot more when your boat stupidly lost.

  • Beginning/Middle/End of downswing?

One thing I know. I made a dumb decision. I played someone who is not too bad, and variance took the best of me.

Fortunately as I'm typing (right after I finished the 2nd paragraph) a real fish sit down and gave back most of what I lost. Blogging is good yeah!

  • Not playing a ton, winning some losing a bit more.

But when you can tell if someone is running good against you and not outplaying you, even if you reflect later on, you're on the path of tilting less.
